The 1,05,00,000-square-foot Venetian Macao is the largest casino in the World, the largest single structure hotel building in Asia, and also the seventh-largest building in the world by floor area.
It has 3,000 suites, 1.2 million square feet of convention space, 1.6 million square feet of retail space (Shops and restaurants) and 5,50,000 square feet of casino space
There is also a 15,000 seat arena for entertainment/sports events, called Cotai Arena
Venetian Macau is twice the size of its sister casino resort – the Venetian Las Vegas, owned by the same company.
The size of Venetian Macau is considered equivalent to 56 football fields.
It is said that the volume of sand used in the reclamation of land for Venetian Macau, is enough to build one of Egypt’s largest pyramids.
The design of the Hotel was inspired by Venice, Italy and it features an architectural replica of Venice city including the famous Venice Landmark of St. Mark’s square. (Level 3)
To create a feeling of Venice the designers created 3 indoor canals (The Grand Canal, San Luca Canal and Marco Polo Canal) having 51 gondolas with serenading gondoliers. (Level 3)
The painted sky hanging over the canals adds to the feel of Venice. (Level 3)
The Ceiling of the central atrium of the hotel (Called the Great Hall) has murals mounted in it, representing the stories from the Bible, which gives a feel of Sistine Chapel. (Level 1)
The Venetian offers over 30 restaurants with cuisines from around the world and the capacity of catering a 5-course banquet for over 10,000 guests.
The casino features over 3,400 slot machines and 800 gambling tables. And it’s divided into 4 themed gambling zones (Namely Golden Fish, Imperial House, Red Dragon and Phoenix) (Level 1)
With 3,000 suites available, each suite is at least 750 square feet or larger. Larger units approach 2,000 square feet in size and feature gold leaf and Italian marble in the bathrooms.
The hotel also offers a club called Paiza Club which caters to premium guests. The club comes with its own entrance, lobby, reception, and guest lifts to the rooms.
